Pinocchio Episodes 9-10: Angel
I’m not sure where to start on this week’s episodes. These two episodes took a decent punch and ran the story along nicely.

The Barberettes on Sketchbook
The Barberetter appear on Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook for their first time on TV. The ladies look wonderful and sound fantastic. Give these ladies some love by watching them perform.
Pinocchio Episode 1-4: I've Got No Strings
I debated on if I should give Pinocchio a chance. I really
enjoyed Lee Jong Suk in I Hear Your Voice which made me want to try Doctor
Strange a chance. I wasn’t too impressed with the comments coming out of the
drama and stayed away from it. Also, Park Shin Hye is happens to be the lead in
this drama. Heirs was a horrible mess from start to finish. Don’t get me wrong,
I’ve enjoyed Shin Hye in most of everything she has done. The problem with her
as an actress is her lack of execution in any skinship relationship. Which I
will talk about Shin Hye a little later. However, Pinocchio is by the same
writer-director team of I Hear Your Voice. I can’t tell you all how much I
really enjoyed that drama, plot holes and all. I loved it so much, I watched it
again twice this year.
Much like Voice, Pinocchio brings a fantasy element in the
form of the case of hiccups when you lie. Only a few people in the world are known
to have the “Pinocchio Syndrome”. I’m a
huge fan of the writer for being able to amplify the theme of the drama with
these uses of fantasy (i.e. Hearing voices). The theme is all about lies and
truth of the media. With 24 hours news channels, it is easy to to relate to how
the media twists the news.

2014 Good and Bad Level: Prime Minister & I
This drama is all about a marriage contract between Nam Da Jung
(Yoona) and Kwon Yul (Lee Beom Soo) all due to a misunderstanding. I’m a sucker
for characters being forced to live with one another. Making characters live
together doesn’t allow the characters to run away from their feelings too long.
It doesn’t take long before Da Jung and Yul are trying to understand their
feelings for one another.

Video of the Day: Nature of Man
I have a huge crush on N.O.M (Nature of Man). I find the group refreshing and awesome as a boy group in a sea of KPop. Their debut video "A Guys" highlighted the extremes of both genders in the KPop world. The concept is labeled as the 3rd Sexuality meaning neither man nor woman. They are blurring the lines of gender roles as is clearly seen in their debut video. N.O.M has released their comeback video just this week and I'm still in love with them. They maybe blacked out by the media in Korea because of their odd choice in concept, but I do believe there is a following of fans in Korea despite the media blockage. Regardless they have a fan in this foreigner.
Watch their new video Nature of Man.

Twitter Review Monday
The Moon that Embraces the Sun:
A juvenile sageuk
romances play acting as an adult. Moon brings A-list actors/actress in a
laughable drama which can’t seem to grow up from their youth let alone grown a
pair. The pretty of the drama and the whimsical music help distract you from
trying to see that there is no man behind the curtain.

Iron Man/Blade Man: Go Crazy
This drama is just down right weird but in a good way. I've read the first episode doesn't do the drama justice for a first episode. For me, I found it funny. I really enjoyed the zaniness. I've just finished the first episode, but this is going on my list of dramas I going to continue to watch. Don't get me wrong the first episode isn't coherent, but there was enough pieces of introduction I was able to understand to find some enjoyment out of the first episode.
Maybe it is Secretary Go or it could be the deadpan Hong Bin which I found interesting. There is a humor underneath the surface along with a comic book style which is appealing. I may not know the whys Hong Bin can become Blade Storm with his dog nose, but isn't this the mystery.
I haven't watched a lot of dramas with Lee Dong Wook. I love him to pieces in Roommate and as MC for Strong Heart. I tried getting into Hotel King, but the first episode bored me to tears. I really like him in this drama a lot. He isn't over the top with his craziness as Jang Hyuk's character in Fated to Love You (Korean version).
Hong Bin is an interesting character with his mutant like abilities and his temper. He reminds me a little bit like the Beast in the Beauty and the Beast. Much like Master's Sun's use of touch, the drama will do the same with the enhanced smell. A trope to show to the viewers these two are meant to be together since she smells so good.
Either way, it's going on my list for dramas.
