Twitter Review Monday

Sorry viewers about the lack of any posts this past week. Due to the holiday season, it has been a little crazy. I bring you all a new Twit-Review.

Answer Me 1994

Dear 1994,
I wished this jaunt down memory lane wasn’t a long and bumpy ride. You lost the nostalgia and pizazz of the 90s with your long winded entries and single minded mystery. Even though, I will look fondly at Shincheon Boardinghouse and know I will always be apart of this fusion family.
Sincerely, Tiara

The Best Part of 1997

The cameos of all cameos in a Drama which loves to bring cameos had the best cameo of bring back the cast of 1997. I was not disappointed one bit getting to see my favorite group of friends. The cameo made me think how much I love 1997. The 5 of them getting onto the bus made me fan girl. As each of them got back into their character, I wanted to stop for a moment and relive Answer Me 1997.

I don't think Oppa would have been hard core on having the music of H.O.T. to be turned down. To me it was very much out of character but what better way to get Shi Won's attention. I forgave his slip out of character for me to enjoy having Shi Won back for those few minutes. I missed the father-daughter relationship of Shi Won and Dad. 1994 is missing a bit of the connection that 1997 made you long for those scenes between the two actors. Yay for not making me hate the cameo by breaking my heart for picking the husband. Boo for still teasing me with who the husband is. Tell us already because it's beginning to feel like trying to figure out who the mom is in How I Met Your Mom. Not cool drama. That is like a million seasons ...

But it was the last cameo of the episode 17 which had me on the floor laughing. Na Jung's "dumb" student just so happens to be Hak Chan. bwahaha! We all know he can't look at Na Jung because of his "problem" with girls (i.e. porn addiction) but she won't ever know this. Thank you Answer Me 1994 for giving the best "wink, wink" to the fans.

The Invasion of 1997

That is right Ladies and Gents - The Invasion has begun .....  Welcome to 1997

Hello 1994, Meet 1997

Answer Me 1994 Episode 16 title "Answer Me 1997"

That is right ladies and gents, the sassy loveable fangirl of 1997, Shi Won, will be making a cameo on the next episode of 1994. I am excited and scared at the same time.

What does this mean? I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. Drama are you sending Shi Won in to tell Oppa it is okay to let go of Na Jung? Sure I love Oppa, but that doesn't mean I don't like Chilbong. If the husband is Chilbong, I would be sad. Na Jung has wanted to marry Oppa since she was little. It would be a happy ending if those two could be together to the end. Maybe Oppa and Na Jung call it quits and Chilbong gets his chance but it also doesn't last. Who knows it could fall right back to Oppa?

Fingers cross this cameo is as great as it sounds and looks. I am just happy to see Shi Won again.

Ask Me ...

Have you started watching Answer Me 1994? What are your thoughts? - From Ace

 Hi Ace!!
To answer your question, yes I have started watching 1994.
I would have done a picture post thoughts like MHIYD or Heirs wasn't both airing. Maybe I will do one somewhere down the line if there isn't a lot of Dramas I am watching.

It has the same set up as 1997, but with a twist. I am digging the "family" of the boarding house. I like how these are all unknown 20 something living together in a strange city. These friendships are just starting to grow for most of them. Oh and naming the husband but none of the suitors are called by their given name. The nicknames are just adorably sweet and annoying at the same time.

I have to give it to the writers for adding another twist with out High schooler. I was so caught up in drama I wasn't thinking outside the box. I hope for more of this in the rest of the drama. I also have to agree, Na Jung is standing next to a stand in. The drama is missing with our minds. They probably filmed this a few times, one with a stand in to confuse the crap out of us and than with whoever is actually her husband we will see when he is relieved.

The only bad I have is some episodes do feel really long. One of the reasons I think 1997 did well was the shortness of the episodes. The longer the episode the drawn out it felt. Not all the episode feel like this but a lot of the first few.

I can already hear what you next question will be ... Who do you think is Na Jung's husband?
Can't say one way or the other. Trash is one my front list. I love the relationship of Na Jung and Trash. They are more than just brother-sister but also best friends. I can see the relationship changing to lovers, but I am not sure. I can't tell if Trash knew Na Jung wasn't playing a fools day joke in the earlier episode. If he does know Na Jung has a crush, he isn't helping matters by giving her a back rub or changing in front of her ... or getting her marshmallows. The look Trash gave when Na Jung was kissed. I wasn't sure to hit him or to pull him in for a hug.

With that being said, Chilbongie has a good shot at being her husband. Those two are just getting to know each other. We know Chilbongie has a crush on Na Jung and got a chance to kiss her. He missed practiced to hang out with her and he didn't mind being punished for it either. For Na Jung, she is having a one-sided crush. She could let go of her crush if Chilbongie makes his moves.

The real question is which one of them is going to have the "sparks" when they kiss?
