You Are All Surrounded Episode 7: NU ABO

On this episode:

Second tries at love, Villains are allowed to roam the police station, rumors around the water cooler, Deja vu of promises, and some people don’t change which isn’t a bad thing.

The first 5 to 10 minutes of this episode was incoherent for me.The drama was trying to recreate a narration and editing from You From Another Star where it backtrack from where it left off from the episode before. YAAS didn’t have the narration to pull the scene off like the other drama. I might have hated the idea because Soo Sun’s mom was unnecessary plot wise. It didn’t get her moved in with the rest of the group.

The only good thing out of the opening part was seeing Soo Sun indeed has the pendant Scar Ear dropped. She didn’t know Ji Yong was being chased in the school. She might’ve figured it out after she saw Scar Ear walk down the hallway. What was her reason for picking it up and why keep it for so long? What does she know about Ji Yong?

Sa Kyung wasn’t a cop when she was married to Pan Seok back in the day. She became a cop like her ex. She moved to the area her ex was working in. Um, I think the lady doth protest too much, me thinks. She is in love with Pan Seok. He’s still in love with her. I’m pleased he took a stand to tell her his feelings instead of letting her call the shots. Yay!!!

Worst Police Station award goes to this one. Seriously, they allow any Joe off the street to just waltz right in. *Eyes roll* Please tell me the Scar Ear has tricked people into thinking he is a cop. I get why Scar Ear is creeping on Dae Gu but smart he isn’t. Someone needs to watch a little more TV … or at least some Castle to help our villain understand why Dae Gu would become a cop.

A rumor is floating around the office about Tae II is gay. Why is it assumed being friendly with a gay guy will make him fall for his straight friend? Not that it is anyones business if someone is gay, straight, or alien. I am curious of the secret he told Kook. Was it about knowing Sa Kyung or was it about him being a rich chaebol?

Pan Seok is going to figure out Dae Gu is Ji Yong soon if he continues to not hold his temper. I too feel the frustration seeing Pan Seok make another promise of protection like he did 11 years ago. Those looks of disgust isn’t helping him hide his identity. Dae Gu is only making the detective in Pan Seok come out to figure out why he has so much loathing toward him.

Soo Sun is dumber than a box of rocks or Dae Gu has the power to make girls forget with his kisses. Come on Drama, do not turn Soo Sun into the dumb Lois Lane where she is fooled by a kiss. Really, how is this girl not asking a million questions right now? Not to mention, why is she accepting his idiotic answer to why he kissed her?

I know I seem like I didn’t like the episode, but I did. There were just more annoying plot holes I had problems with. I’m admiring watching Dae Gu see the spunky girl from his past slowly make room in his heart. It wasn’t strawberries or kisses which is melting his heart, but how much alike and different she is today and then. He can’t help himself from smiling when she does the unexpected like dancing to a song from 11 years ago.

The Sum:
The cuteness, the things which bugged me, and the romance blooming.
